TSB-6000: Application Channel Attenuation and Supportable Distances
TSB-6000 “Application Channel Attenuation and Supportable Distances” was developed by the TIA TR‑42.1 Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure Subcommittee and published in January, 2025. Download your complimentary copy from TIA here.
Scope: This TSB provides informative tables referencing maximum support distances for applications deployed over balanced twisted‑pair, multimode optical fiber, single‑mode optical fiber, and broadband coaxial cabling media recognized by TIA building IT infrastructure Standards. Maximum channel attenuation is also indicated for applications that operate over optical fiber cabling.
